Putting your garden to bed for the winter

October 18, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The best gardeners know that gardening doesn’t begin in the spring, it begins in the fall!

In this Village Vancouver workshop with Mik Turje, you’ll learn techniques for over-winter soil-building, soil protection in rainy rainy Vancouver, and pest and disease prevention for the following year. Set yourself up for success while your garden sleeps for the winter.

We’ll have the community seed library present. Pick up some free seeds for your garden, swap or donate seeds.

To register please contact:

Putting Your Garden to Bed is part of Village Vancouver’s two year Building Community Food Security and Resilience project, which is funded by a Grow Local grant from the Ministry of Agriculture. We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Agriculture.
